TRADE REVIEWS - MY KING THE
PRESIDENT

TOM LEWIS DOES IT AGAIN WITH MY KING
THE PRESIDENT. Tom Lewis, author of the groundbreaking series of
stories about Pea Island with his opening novel, SUNDAY S CHILD,
has brought us a new and chilling novel from an entirely different
perspective. Here are people born to wealth, born to power, and
striving to hatch a cruel and vicious plan that looks on any power
that is not absolute as not nearly enough power at all. The tale
begins with a shocker. A Secret Service agent, one sworn to protect
the president at all costs and in any situation, rises from a troubled
sleep, reports to work at the White House, opens the door to the
president's bedroom and fires several shots into Buck Tyndall, his
father-in-law and the president of the United States. His mission
accomplished, he turns the gun on himself and commits suicide. Enter
Jeb Willard, a journalist. Not only is Jeb known worldwide for the
depth of his reporting, but also he is a go anywhere, do anything
kind of reporter when it comes to chasing a story down. And he knows
there has to be a story... To read the entire review, click

READER REVIEWS - MY KING
THE PRESIDENT
From Kaa Byington:
This thriller has the best prologue I ever read,
and the remainder of the book is not far behind. It moves so quickly
and cleverly that I had to put it down every few minutes to catch
my breath. I hope this will be followed by many more Jeb Willard
books.
From G.K. Lewis:
This is a terrific book. It reads fast, the
writing is taut and it has more twists and turns than a tornado!
It is indeed a thriller and the ending is explosive, literally.
I was impressed with the accuracy of the technical details but they
didn't slow the reader down. The book looks impressive even if it
isn't a hardcover. The cover and chapter illustrations are first
rate. One reader told me it was the most intriguing book she'd read
in a long time. I totally agree.

JUDAS
Front Street Reviews
"With such great detail this
book is a must read for any World War II fanatic or anyone who just
likes a great historical novel. With murder, betrayal and love this
thrilling and moving novel is fast paced with twists and turns till
the end. Tom Lewis has done a brilliant job and book III can only
be better." To read the full review, click

It's when Adolph Hitler decided to
invade the behemoth that was the Soviet Union that his trusted subordinated,
Martin Bormann, knew that the Nazi's vaunted Third Reich was doomed
to failure and defeat. That's when Bormann carefully laid his own
plans to escape the looming disaster -- and taken an enormous amount
of wealth with him to finance an opulent live style for the rest
of his life. When the time came, Bormann smuggled both himself and
50 million in gold -- looted by the Nazi's from across the map of
Europe. But instead of fleeing to sanctuary in Argentina as so many
of his far-sighted colleagues did, Bormann wound up on Pea Island,
an isolated strip of sand north of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
In "Hitler's Judas", novelist Tom Lewis has written a
plausible novel of suspense, lacing it with historical detail and
an inherently fascinating cast of memorable characters and capping
it off with a compelling ending. An appropriate acquisition selection
for community library fiction collections, "Hitler's Judas"
is deftly written, consistently satisfying and highly recommended
reading. To visit the Midwest Review site click

For those of you who are approximately
my age, perhaps a bit older or perhaps a bit younger,
there are probably events that stick out in your mind, happenings
that are indelibly inscribed on your memory. For some it may be
the day that President Kennedy was shot, or perhaps the Space Shuttle
Columbia bursting into flames on re-entry just four short years
ago. Sometimes, however, there are a series of events that
engender no singular feelings at the time but later reveal a pattern
that ultimately changed a large part of the world. This is what
Tom Lewis' latest novel does. If I had not known better I might
have suspected that Mr. Lewis was living as an insider in the faltering
government of the Third Reich during the closing months of that
regime. To read the entire review, click

READER REVIEWS - SUNDAY'S
CHILD
From Glenn MacNaught:
I met you briefly on December 9th at your Tryon
Palace Gift Shop book
signing. I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical when
I purchased Sunday's Child. I thought, "Oh boy another New
Bernian that thinks he's an author!" I was pretty sure that
I probably would not read it but forward it on to some unsuspecting
soul as a book by one of New Bern's local authors.
Well, somewhere during the last week I ran of
out things to read and my wife forbade my making a trip to the bookstore
as Christmas is coming. So I pick up Sunday's child - it was so
engaging that I felt I was living right there in the midst of your
main characters on Pea Island. I found that I could not leave the
characters and was quite sad to come to the end of their story.
I could feel the time of a quite different and I think in many ways
better east Carolina. I am a relatively new transplant from Rhode
Island who grew up on and by the ocean. Sunday's Child brought back
memories of my youth in the early 50s of not only the pride, skill
and professionalism of the life saving personnel but even of the
local fisherman who fished with respect of the resource to make
a living for their family - truly a different time!
I look forward with great expectation to reading
"Hitler's Judas" and "Sons of Their Fathers".
When will they be released? In the meantime I shall sneak over to
the bookstore to see if any of your other novels are in stock.
Again, many thanks for a great read and I look
forward to seeing you at a future book signing!
From Linda Mingle
Manassas Virginia:
I met you at Tryon Palace gift shop December
9th and purchased "Sunday's Child". I absolutely loved
the book and need to know when the next in the trilogy will be out.
When I spoke with you I told you I'm an avid reader and this book
had me planning my day so I could read another chapter.
From Daniel Sokolovic:
My son and I purchased your book and had
the pleasure of getting you to sign the book. I must admit I was
skeptical about the book and the subject matter.
The book club that I am a member of will meet tomorrow in Greenville
for lunch. I am recommmending this as our next read.
Sunday Everette is a fantastic character. Your style is smooth and
engaging. It pushes me to read and finish the story. Commercially
speaking, it has mass appeal without me classifying it as a "total
writer's sell-out". I love a strong female character and loved
your book. Bravo to you, sir! We welcome you to come speak to our
small, but influential group of bibliophiles.
From Penny Rettew:
Tom - I bought your book, Sunday's Child,
while at this years Mum Fest. You know my husband, Chuck. I wanted
to let you know how much I enjoyed the book, it was a "I can't
put this book down" experience. I loaned it to my best friend
and she stayed up all night reading the book. Please let me know
when the next book in this series comes out, I am looking forward
to its release.
